Edge Golf Group selected by Tacoma, WA Metro Parks for Golf Project
April 16, 2009 - Castle Rock, Colorado – Edge Golf Group, THK Associates, Phelps Atkinson
Design and Niebur Golf has been awarded the contract to provide golf consulting services for Tacoma
Metro Parks in Tacoma, Washington for the Meadow Park Golf Complex. Meadow Park is a nearly 200
acre golf property near the Puget Sound consisting of an 18 hole golf course, 9 hole short course,
practice range, short game practice area, clubhouse and restaurant.
The contract specifies the complete operational business analysis and planning, golf course design,
facility architecture and engineering, and golf course irrigation design to update and enhance the 2003
Business Plan. The updated Business Plan is intended to guide the next 20-25 years of operations at
Meadow Park Golf Course. The plan will include a review of existing operations and facilities, short and
long term market analysis, short and long term capital development needs, and financial/operational
projections that support the long term implementation of the Business Plan.
The award of this contract affirms a long standing commitment to excellence by these groups. With

Over 17 teams responded to the initial RFQ by Tacoma Metro Parks with 6 selected as finalists.
